Home Movie Day celebrates private film practices and offers the chance to see amateur films which recount contemporary history in personal and unexpected ways.
The Austrian Film Museum participated in International Home Movie Day in 2020 with an online program from our own collection. The curated program is still available on our YouTube channel. Amateur filmmakers and others involved in the films tell stories and provided commentary to their films.
The Center for Home Movies (CHM) also makes it possible to experience a wide range of Home Movie Days from other archives and collections from around the world online.
